Students were chosen to help add the stars and strips to create the flag!
They needed thread to sew the stars and strips together. One of the veterans found thread hiding in a student's hair! :)

Flags for First Graders
This morning both first grade classes gathered for a presentation called 'Flags for First Graders'. A group of veterans came to teach students about the American flag. The students were taught about all parts of the flag and the importance of respecting the flag. Each student was given a flag to bring home!
