Terrific Thursday!

Today in math we will continue to work on measurements!  Yesterday students noticed how using different colored patterns can help us to count more efficiently by 5s and 10s.  We also made a class 'blueprint' using our measurements.  Today the students will be making paper measuring tools to work with.

In science we are wrapping up our science unit of matter.  Today students will review by watching a video.  Tomorrow we will take our end of unit assessment.  Students have had the opportunity for a lot of hands-on learning during this unit!

During writing students are continuing to write their book reviews!  We have enjoyed hearing about each others' recommendations!

Students will also have a guidance lesson with Miss Eake this afternoon.  Ask them what new skill they learned about!

Today our school had a tornado drill.  We talked about what would happen at school, and we also talked about the importance of having a plan at home.

I have a few pictures from different activities over the week that I keep meaning to share on our blog - stay tuned!  :)
